Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report patient condition changes clearly and promptly to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and vital signs as directed
• Support residents’ daily living activities with dignity and respect
• Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary team to achieve patient care goals
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and bedside care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass facility background and health screenings
• Previous long-term care or acute care experience a plus, but enthusiasm and a caring attitude count too

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and infection control
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with safe patient handling techniques
• Strong interpersonal skills and culturally sensitive care
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Basic charting and documentation skills
