Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varies (per diem schedule), 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to support rehabilitation goals
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Document care accurately and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Support patients emotionally and encourage independence and dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Active registration or eligibility to register with the New Mexico CNA registry
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable working night shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute care is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care skills including bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
Knowledge of infection control and safe body mechanics
Good communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
Ability to follow care plans and direction from licensed nursing staff
