Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents and patients during evening and overnight hours
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) while promoting dignity
• Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication across shift handoffs
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and facility protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through attentive, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight/evening shifts and adaptable to per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living assistance and bedside care
• Knowledge of basic infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition clearly and promptly
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting and basic documentation standards
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts and collaborating during handoffs
