Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with feeding, mobility, transfers and toileting while using safe patient handling techniques
• Monitor and record basic observations and vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in charts or electronic medical records
• Support infection control practices, safety protocols, and a clean care environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and emotional comfort through respectful care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification/classification required
• Active or eligible to obtain CNA license in New Mexico
• Ability to pass facility-required background check and drug screen
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills
• CPR/BLS certification preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED; current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic vital signs measurement and recognition of clinical changes
• Familiarity with documentation and charting best practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a care team
• Time management, prioritization, and reliability in a fast-paced setting
