Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with patient care and clinical procedures to keep the workflow smooth
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and document findings in the patient chart
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures with compassion and professionalism
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing per clinic protocol
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked
• Communicate clearly with patients about instructions and next steps
• Document encounters in the electronic health record in a timely, accurate manner

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential — required
• Able to commit to 40 hours per week including weekends and rotating day/evening shifts
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient clinic and supporting a team
• Reliable, professional, and patient-centered approach to care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Current CMA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Competency with basic clinical skills (vital signs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing)
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Knowledge of infection control and HIPAA/privacy practices
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinic environment
