Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients during cardiovascular procedures.
• Support the whole patient by addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs in a procedural setting.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and keep them updated before, during, and after each case.
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms so equipment is calibrated, functional, and ready to go.
• Manage supplies and inventory to keep the Cath Lab workflow smooth and efficient.
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data and respond quickly to changes.
• Assess and document patient condition accurately throughout their time in the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Participate in quality initiatives and CQI activities to elevate patient care.

Qualifications

• Active state Registered Nursing (RN) license required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required, and you will keep them current.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab with cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Ability to meet a 30-minute on-call response time requirement.
• A passion for cardiac care and teamwork.

Education

• 1. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• preferred.
• 2. Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License
• required.
• 3. Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
• required.
• 4. One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area
• required.

• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and cardiovascular workflows
• Hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring
• Critical care assessment and patient evaluation
• ACLS and BLS protocols
• Documentation and continuous quality improvement
• Physician collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
