Roles & Responsibilities

• Support diagnostic and interventional cardiology, interventional neuro and interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms and set up complex equipment for cath, IR and neuro procedures
• Perform EKG lead placement and continuous hemodynamic monitoring during procedures
• Maintain sterile technique as scrub and/or circulator and assist with vascular access prep
• Stock and manage procedural supplies, ensuring rooms are ready to go
• Chart thoroughly in Epic to ensure accurate, real-time documentation
• Float between specialties in the lab as needed and respond to on-call activations
• Participate in advanced procedures as appropriate (TAVR/TMVR support, Watchman, thrombectomy, etc.)

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year acute care Cath Lab experience required
• BLS and ACLS required
• ARRT required (RCIS accepted in lieu of ARRT in some cases)
• Fluoro permit and valid state license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• On-call availability including weekday and weekend coverage required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Stroke/Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred (hard stop)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cath lab procedures and interventional cardiology fundamentals
• Hemodynamic monitoring and EKG lead placement
• Sterile technique for scrub and circulator roles
• Equipment setup, troubleshooting and room turnover
• Experience with Epic charting
• Familiarity with PCI, PTCA, left/right heart catheterization and stent placements
• Exposure to neuro-interventional procedures such as thrombectomy and carotid angiography
• Comfort with advanced supports and devices (Impella, ECMO exposure is a plus)
• Ability to float across EP, diagnostic and interventional labs
