Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to nursing staff promptly to support excellent clinical outcomes
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation, ensuring dignity and comfort at all times
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Document resident care accurately and timely to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
• Support recreational and social activities to promote resident engagement and quality of life
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — New York certification preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care setting is a strong plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-player mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and basic nursing tasks with empathy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
• Comfortable with vital signs monitoring and basic documentation
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during busy shifts
• Adaptability to changing assignments and resident care plans
