Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with primary care providers in the ACT model to address mental health impacts on physical health
• Deliver evidence-based therapies like Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Provide crisis intervention, screening follow-up, and brief therapy to support clients through trauma, depression, and anxiety
• Conduct assessments, treatment planning, and counseling for individuals, families, and groups
• Offer case management and referrals while working alongside medical staff in an outpatient clinic
• Build rapport quickly and empower clients to tackle their own needs with a trauma-informed approach

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work
• 2+ years of direct clinical experience with assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and counseling
• Active LMFT, LPC, LBHP, or LCSW license, with ability to obtain Alaska licensure within 6 months
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with office equipment

Education

• Master's degree in a human service field such as Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Social Work

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activations, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Cultural sensitivity working with diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural groups
• Ability to build consensus in teams, establish quick rapport, and manage time effectively
