Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (primarily nights): 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 3 shifts per week; schedule includes nights, weekends (every other weekend or ~4 weekends/month) and holiday rotation. Day shifts on rotation: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical ventilation and all ventilators on the unit, including Servo I, jets, and oscillators
- Provide noninvasive support such as BiPAP V60 and CPAP and adjust settings as needed
- Assist with bronchoscopies and serve as the respiratory lead during procedures
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and act on results promptly
- Respond with the Lead to Clinical Response Team calls and support emergent needs
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner and ensure continuity of care
- Deliver high-acuity critical care in ICU-level settings and mentor peers when on shift
- Prioritize patient safety and teamwork while maintaining time management and communication standards
Qualifications
- Arizona Respiratory Therapist license in hand (MUST have AZ RT license)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential via NBRC required
- Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience (3 years preferred per posting)
- BLS required; ACLS preferred; NRP required for roles covering NICU patients
- Proficiency with ventilators: Servo I, jets, oscillators; experience with BiPAP V60 and CPAP
- Experience assisting with bronchoscopies and performing ABG analysis
- Cerner charting experience
- Ability to work high-acuity caseloads, strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills
Education
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred
- RRT credential via NBRC required

- Critical care and ICU workflows
- Electronic health record documentation in Cerner
