Shift Type: Day shift, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, rotating weekends and holidays with on-call rotation (one night every two weeks, one weekend every six weeks). Shifts may extend based on case load; open to 4x10s or 3x12s.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for surgery
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to keep procedures running smoothly
• Manage surgical equipment and supplies, including inventory and sterilization
• Document and chart patient information accurately using EPIC
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other OR staff to provide excellent patient care
• Adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment performing open heart, orthopedic, and general surgeries

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy Operating Room
• Current BLS certification
• EPIC experience required
• DCI/BVP certification preferred
• Willingness to take call and work rotating weekends and holidays
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Experience with a wide range of surgeries, including open heart and orthopedics
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain focused and calm in high-pressure situations
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and case loads
