Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform scrub and circulating duties during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
• Administer medications and conscious sedation as directed
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
• Document patient hemodynamic data and procedure details accurately
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency cardiac care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or a compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization lab workflows and sterile technique
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Proficiency in EKG/rhythm interpretation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with cardiologists and staff
• Comfort using electronic health records and documenting procedures
