Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients improve communication and swallowing function.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
• Document progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as patients achieve milestones.
• Advocate for patients' communication needs and empower them to reach their fullest potential.

Qualifications

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• License/Certificate verification required
• Previous speech therapy experience in an acute or outpatient setting is a plus
• A passion for making a difference in patients' lives

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Comfortable using electronic health records
• Adaptable and organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
