Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week (3 days inpatient/2 days outpatient preferred, or 5 days inpatient); exact schedule to be discussed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to create personalized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients improve communication and swallowing function.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Document progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as patients achieve milestones.
- Advocate for patients' communication needs and empower them to reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- DCI/BVP certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- License/Certificate verification required
- Previous speech therapy experience in an acute or outpatient setting is a plus
- A passion for making a difference in patients' lives
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable using electronic health records
- Adaptable and organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
