Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Continuously monitor patient status, vital signs, and response to treatments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced life support interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
• Educate and support patients and their families through complex medical situations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
• Current BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience in critical care or ICU nursing preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and rapid clinical decision-making
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, ventilation management, and titration of vasoactive medications
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate patient-centered care and family support
• Accurate electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions
