Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the Cardiovascular Laboratory
• Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment
• Communicate continuously with physicians about patient condition and needs
• Assist with maintenance of equipment and inventory to ensure a ready procedure room
• Obtain supplies for individual cases and support the Cardiovascular Laboratory team
• Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Record and monitor patient condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Active state RN license required
• Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certificate upon start and maintain current
• 4 years of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in Critical Care required
• BSN preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• DCI/BVP certification preferred
