Shift Type: Day shift - choose 4 x 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:30 PM) or 5 x 8-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 2:30 PM); plus 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures with precision and care.
• Monitor and assess patient hemodynamics throughout procedures, reacting quickly to changes.
• Administer conscious sedation and medications as directed, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and catheterization equipment.
• Participate in on-call coverage for STEMI and stroke emergencies, providing life-saving intervention when every minute matters.
• Document procedures thoroughly and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey (or compact state) - Nursys verified
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Previous Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
• Ability to complete required health screenings and Prime exams (pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, and specialty exam)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Understanding of STEMI and stroke response protocols
• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
