Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication and swallowing function using evidence-based evaluations
• Develop individualized treatment plans that help patients meet meaningful goals
• Provide direct therapy to improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support progress at home
• Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care and outcomes
• Contribute to a positive therapeutic environment that encourages patient independence

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• State of New Jersey SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience evaluating and treating communication and swallowing disorders
• Comfortable working in a rehabilitative/contract setting and collaborating with teams
• Willingness to complete facility-required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
• ASHA CCC-SLP (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in standardized and functional assessment techniques
• Strong dysphagia evaluation and management knowledge
• Proficiency with individualized treatment planning and progress tracking
• Excellent communication and family education skills
• Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
• Solid documentation skills and familiarity with clinical record systems
