Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to individuals across the lifespan
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehab team to coordinate care and support patient goals
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge plans in the electronic health record in a timely and thorough manner
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing safety
• Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent graduate degree)
• Massachusetts SLP license required or eligible
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or working toward certification
• Comfortable working in a rehabilitation/contract setting with varied caseloads
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Current CPR/BLS certification as required by facility policies

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in standardized and informal assessment techniques
• Experience with treatment planning for speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia
• Proficient documentation and progress tracking in EHR systems
• Ability to coach families and caregivers with clear, practical strategies
• Strong clinical reasoning, organization, and caseload management
