Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication and swallowing function using evidence-based assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals
• Deliver skilled therapy services to pediatric and/or adult patients with compassion
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other therapists to coordinate care
• Educate families and caregivers to support carryover and functional progress
• Document observations and progress thoroughly and on time in the clinical record
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license (required)
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent (required)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Clean background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and treatment of speech, language and swallowing disorders
• Experience with evidence-based intervention strategies and goal writing
• Familiarity with AAC, dysphagia management and feeding strategies
• Comfortable using electronic health records for documentation
• Ability to prioritize caseload, manage time efficiently and mentor support staff
• Strong interpersonal skills for family education and interdisciplinary teamwork
