Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care during your shift, ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality rehabilitation services
• Lead and mentor nursing staff, fostering a culture of compassion, safety, and teamwork
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor patient conditions, assess response to treatment, and intervene promptly when needed
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, regulatory standards, and facility policies
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to promote positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of nursing care standards and best practices
• Knowledge of rehabilitation nursing principles
• Skill in delegation, supervision, and team coordination
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
