Location: Marshall, MI

Start Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, day shift, 36-40 hours per week, with rotating on-call for inpatient services (typically 1x/month)

Hours per Week: 45

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Administer treatments and design individualized care plans and goals
  • Provide written and verbal reports to physicians and healthcare teams
  • Complete accurate documentation according to unit and regulatory standards
  • Conduct inpatient bedside swallow studies and diet recommendations
  • Deliver outpatient VFSS and speech therapy interventions for adults
  • Participate in in-service education, case conferences, and patient care committees
  • Stay current with trends and developments in speech and swallowing therapy

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Adult SLP experience (new grads not considered)
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Active Michigan SLP license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification
  • VFSS experience required
  • Willingness to work in both inpatient and outpatient units
  • Must have reliable transportation for this assignment
  • Ability to hit the ground running and work independently

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology

Knowledge & Skills

  • Patient evaluation and treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Dysphagia management and bedside swallow studies
  • VFSS (Videofluoroscopic Swallow Study) proficiency
  • Inpatient and outpatient care for adult populations
  • Care plan design and documentation
  • McKesson EMR experience
  • BLS certified
