Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with rotating weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying studies
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Operate and maintain GE imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures, explaining each step with care
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Document and manage patient images and records in Radnet and Merge Unity PACS systems
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for weekdays, weekends, and holidays to ensure 24/7 imaging support
Qualifications
- Active BLS certification required
- California Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (CA NMTL) required
- At least 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Proficiency in cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying imaging
- Ability to float to Mercy Downtown (approximately 6.5 miles away) as needed
- Strong patient care and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of GE imaging equipment
- Experience with Radnet and Merge Unity PACS
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system
- Understanding of radiation safety and imaging protocols
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
