Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend; travelers are first to float
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive critical care to trauma, neuro-stroke, and head injury patients in a fast-paced 30-bed ICU
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG strips, intervening promptly on dysrhythmias
- Manage ventilated patients and titrate vasopressors and sedation to maintain hemodynamic stability
- Perform thorough neuro assessments and manage ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies
- Collaborate with a 24/7 intensivist team, respiratory therapists, and charge nurses to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Document accurately in Cerner EMR and advocate for each patient's plan of care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California or compact state
- Two or more years of ICU experience, with trauma ICU experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required; PALS preferred and required if staying longer than six months
- Hands-on experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies, or strong recent experience with post-TPA patients
- Ability to pass a proctored dysrhythmia test on day one
- Travel nursing experience and flexibility to float to PCU, CICU, tele, or med-surg as needed
