Emergency Department Registered Nurse - Travel
Location: Springfield, Vermont
Start Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week; every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Hours per Week: 60
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Triage patients promptly to determine severity and appropriate treatment
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for all ages
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately
- Collaborate with physicians, PAs, and the care team
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
- Respond confidently in critical situations and maintain a calm environment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting
- Active Vermont RN license or compact license
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications - all in hand
- Minimum 3 months of travel experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Reliable transportation and own vehicle required
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in emergency department triage and patient assessment
- Skilled in urgent care interventions and critical thinking
- Proficient with electronic health records and documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability to fast-paced, 24/7 environments
- Knowledge of Vermont RN practice standards
