Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans
• Provide evidence-based therapy to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other therapists to coordinate patient care
• Document patient progress accurately and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
• Advocate for patients' communication and swallowing needs in care planning meetings

Qualifications

• Active Maine Speech Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience working with adult or geriatric populations in skilled nursing or rehab settings is a plus
• Current BLS certification preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with facility credentialing requirements
• New graduates welcome to apply if licensed or eligible
