Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff
• Accurately document care activities and observations
• Collaborate with nurses and care team members to deliver personalized, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series or present a documented medical/religious exemption
• Valid government-issued ID and ability to wear a photo badge at all times
• Must be able to pass Delaware DHSS background check and fingerprinting requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care practices and safety protocols
• Skill in measuring and recording vital signs
• Strong observation and communication skills to effectively report changes in resident condition
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Compassion, patience, and a positive attitude
• Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed
