Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care
• Ensure quality care and safety protocols are followed
• Serve as a clinical resource for the nursing team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Oversee daily operations on your shift
• Provide leadership and support to bedside nurses
• Assess patient conditions and respond to changes
• Document and report patient status and staff performance

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama or a compact state
• Current BLS certification
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing care standards and best practices
• Supervisory and leadership skills
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Electronic health records (EHR) proficiency
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
