Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to trauma med/surg patients on a 34-bed unit
Prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced 6:1 patient ratio environment
Start IVs, manage basic wound care, surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
Build personal connections through bedside shift reports and family-inclusive care plans
Collaborate with tech support and unit secretaries for seamless patient experiences
Float rotationally to support hospital needs at this Level II Trauma Center

Qualifications

Active RN license ready to go
BLS certification
At least 2 years of Med/Surg experience
Ability to thrive in a dynamic trauma unit setting

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg expertise with prioritization and multitasking prowess
IV insertion, basic wound care, drain maintenance, NG tubes, and chest tubes
Familiarity with equipment like IV pumps, telemetry, PCA, and feeding pumps
Proficiency in Meditech documentation system
Patient-centered care with a focus on connections and compassion
