Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts with varied start times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate emergency care to patients from peds to geriatrics in a fast-paced Level II trauma center
Manage 1:3-4 patient ratios with acuity-based assignments, tackling traumas, strokes, STEMIs, and more
Administer critical drips like vasopressors and heparin while interpreting tele strips
Collaborate with dedicated charge nurses, ED techs, and on-call RT for seamless patient throughput
Handle triage, boarding patients, and transports to nearby X-ray and CT for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2+ years of ER experience
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
EPIC charting proficiency
Comfortable with high-volume ER seeing 50-60 patients daily, mostly ESI Level 3

Education

BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in emergency room operations including fast track and vertical flow areas
Skilled in managing common ER drips and interpreting cardiac strips
Experience with diverse patient types from traumas to critical transfers
Ability to thrive in dynamic environment with 24/7 security and physician support
