Location: Merced, California

Start Date: 06-01-2026

End Date: 08-31-2026

Shift Type: Day/Night Rotate, AM 12:00 AM - 12:30 PM (8 hours), PM 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM (8 hours), every other weekend, holidays required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform precise phlebotomy draws across inpatient, outpatient, ER, PEDS, NICU, and clinics
Handle specimen receiving with care and efficiency
Master straight needle sticks for smooth collections
Collaborate with the lab team using Cerner system
Support patient care on all medical floors including nursery

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience, including 1 year in hospital settings with newborns
CPT and CDPH certification required
BLS Certification
Comfortable with straight needle sticks

Education

Knowledge & Skills

Expert phlebotomy techniques
Specimen receiving proficiency
Hospital experience across diverse units like ER, PEDS, NICU
Cerner LIS and EMR navigation
Label printer and EHR tool usage
