Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM with 4 weekend shift commitment

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to med-surg patients including trauma, neuro, and ortho cases
Manage drains, wound vacs, chest tubes, and external fixators with confidence
Start IVs, insert and manage Foley catheters and NGTs to keep patients comfortable
Perform colostomy exchanges and monitor patient progress in a 1:5-6 ratio
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of 4 RNs, charge nurse, and PCTs per shift

Qualifications

Active RN license with at least 1 year of med-surg experience
BLS certification required
Must-haves: Starting IVs, Foley/NGT insertion and management, colostomy exchange, drain management
Team player with a compassionate heart ready for trauma and ortho challenges

Education

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Meditech EMR and equipment like Plum 360 IV pumps, Kangaroo ePump, wound vacs
Chest tube management and trauma experience preferred
Ortho procedures including knees, hips, shoulders, and external fixators
