Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care assessments and interventions for patients
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and ventilator management
• Monitor patient responses to respiratory treatments and adjust care plans as needed
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Document all care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri (or ability to obtain one)
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS preferred
• Previous acute care respiratory therapy experience is a plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities including mechanical ventilation
• Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records
• Great communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
