Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement comprehensive nursing care for labor and delivery patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the birthing process
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring, interpreting patterns and responding promptly to changes
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans based on patient evaluations and changing conditions
• Document patient progress and nursing interventions accurately in accordance with professional practice standards
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families during labor, delivery, and postpartum

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent high-volume Labor & Delivery experience
• Active RN license in Maryland with verification less than 30 days old
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active EFM and NIHSS certifications, or willingness to obtain them within 48 hours of offer
• Previous travel experience required
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with state record, no declinations accepted
• Flexibility to work facility-determined weekends and on-call schedules
