Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and ready for each appointment
• Assist the dentist during pediatric procedures with smooth, attentive chairside support
• Take and develop dental X-rays using a gentle, kid-friendly approach
• Help children feel calm, safe, and even excited about their dental visits
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene habits
• Maintain accurate patient records and help keep the office running efficiently

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or registration in Wisconsin (or willing to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a plus
• A warm, patient demeanor and excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask and support the dental team in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
• Radiography/X-ray safety and imaging skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with pediatric patients and parents
• Familiarity with dental software and patient record management
• Commitment to infection control and safety standards
