Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Take dental X-rays and impressions to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on proper orthodontic care and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment space for every patient
• Document patient information and assist with treatment plan updates

Qualifications

• Current orthodontic certification required
• Maryland dental assistant certification or licensure as applicable
• X-ray certification preferred
• Prior experience in an orthodontic or dental setting is a plus
• Commitment to providing excellent patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with dental practice management software, including Denticon
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards
