Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring all equipment is sterile and functional
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures, anticipating their needs
• Monitor patients' vital signs throughout surgery to ensure safety
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict infection control protocols
• Collaborate with perioperative nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to deliver exceptional patient care
• Advocate for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in the Operating Room
• Active and unrestricted Michigan RN license
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a surgical team

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of sterile techniques and surgical aseptic practice
• Proficient in perioperative nursing care, including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with surgical teams
• Quick decision-making and critical thinking in high-pressure situations
