Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the orthodontist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care of orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical charts
Qualifications
- Current Orthodontic Assistant certification (required)
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and a team-player mindset
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and instruments
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in patient management and chairside assistance
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the orthodontist and patients
