Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide life-sustaining respiratory therapy to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Manage and monitor ventilators, BIPAP/CPAP, and oxygen therapy equipment
• Administer nebulizer treatments and obtain arterial blood gases
• Collaborate with the care team to adjust respiratory plans in a fast-paced environment
• Document patient responses accurately in Meditech EMR
• Respond confidently to rapid response and code situations

Qualifications

• Current RRT credential required
• Active Virginia state license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 2 years of ICU experience
• Proficiency with nebulizers, BIPAP/CPAP, and ventilators

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of oxygen therapy and airway management
• Experience with blood gas analysis and ABG interpretation
• Competency in Meditech EMR
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
