End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, at least every third weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adults 55 and older
Manage patient care with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patients with dementia, bipolar disorder, and other behavioral health needs
Maintain a safe environment including appropriate use of the seclusion room when needed
Float to med-surg and OB units as needed to support hospital-wide care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Utah or compact state
Current BLS certification
Prior psych experience preferred
Willingness to float outside of psych highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Behavioral health nursing
Geriatric psychiatric care
Patient safety and de-escalation
Strong communication and teamwork
