Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient status during the immediate post-operative period
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe handoff and recovery
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or a compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Previous PACU, critical care, or medical-surgical experience is a plus
• Ability to think quickly and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols and complication management
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
