Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing
- Take and develop dental X-rays to support accurate diagnosis
- Assess patients oral health and report findings to the dentist
- Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure a sterile, welcoming operatory
- Partner with the dental team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Pennsylvania
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the dental team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
- Proficiency in taking digital and traditional radiographs
- Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
- Skill in patient education and chairside communication
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
