Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients, focusing on their unique needs
• Assess patient respiratory status and develop or implement appropriate treatment plans
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and ventilation support
• Monitor and document patient responses to treatments, adjusting care as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about respiratory conditions and home care techniques

Qualifications

• Active Missouri Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS/PALS encouraged)
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Previous experience in pediatric care is a plus, but new graduates are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities and equipment
• Proficiency in patient assessment and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Comfortable with electronic health records
• Team collaboration and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients
