Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatory rooms
• Provide compassionate patient care and clear post-operative instructions
• Take and process dental radiographs as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and support the clinical team
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during procedures

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or license as required by Maryland
• Prior experience in oral surgery or surgical assisting preferred
• BLS/CPR certification
• Strong commitment to infection control and patient safety
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and oral surgery instruments
• Skill in sterile technique and instrument handling
• Proficient with digital radiography and dental software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
