Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform thorough cleanings, scaling, and root planing to promote oral health
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring clear diagnostic images for the dentist
• Educate patients on personalized oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient assessments and treatment plans accurately in patient records
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, maintaining a safe and clean environment
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure every patient leaves with a healthy smile

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Previous experience in a dental practice preferred
• Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental anatomy, periodontal disease, and hygiene techniques
• Proficiency with dental software and digital X-ray systems
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
• Attention to detail and infection control protocol knowledge
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
