Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and charting
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification preferred
- Experience in orthodontics is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments
- Proficiency in taking and processing dental X-rays
- Understanding of infection control standards
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Denticon)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
