Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays with care and precision
• Provide compassionate support to children and their families
• Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
• Educate young patients on proper oral hygiene in a fun, friendly way
• Manage inventory and order dental supplies as needed

Qualifications

• Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
• Radiography (X-ray) certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and caregivers
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and instruments
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control
• Proficiency in dental software for scheduling and record-keeping
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients
• Attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a smile
