Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients across a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Assess patient health status, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication, and post-discharge care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active Missouri RN license or compact state license
• Current BLS certification (AHA required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Experience in pediatric nursing or med/surg setting is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
• Understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients
• Skill in providing age-appropriate care and communication
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
