Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patients are comfortable and informed
• Prepare operatories and sterilize dental instruments following infection control protocols
• Take and process dental radiographs and impressions
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate electronic patient records and clinical documentation
• Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory to keep the practice running smoothly

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic certified (ortho certified)
• Dental assisting experience, preferably in orthodontics
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong patient communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Knowledge of dental radiography and impression techniques
• Familiarity with dental software and patient records
• Understanding of sterilization and OSHA standards
• Excellent chairside manner and teamwork skills
