Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment
• Take dental X-rays, impressions, and digital scans as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care in a warm, encouraging way
• Manage patient records and appointments with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Prior dental assisting experience, especially in orthodontics, is a plus
• Appropriate dental assistant certification or licensure for Maryland as applicable
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
• A friendly, patient-focused attitude with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control
• Familiarity with orthodontic tools, brackets, bands, and wires
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients and teammates
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
