Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients, including cleanings and preventive treatments
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
- Take and process dental X-rays as directed
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Document patient health histories and treatment plans
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols
Qualifications
- Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact where applicable)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental hygiene instruments and equipment
- Knowledge of dental radiography and safety procedures
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Attention to detail in patient records and treatment
- Adaptability to different clinical environments
