Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dental hygiene care to patients, including cleanings and preventive treatments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed
• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
• Document patient health histories and treatment plans
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact where applicable)
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of dental radiography and safety procedures
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Attention to detail in patient records and treatment
• Adaptability to different clinical environments
